Themes

Themes control the look and feel of the entire user interface. This contains all aspects of the presentation including the images, logos, colors, fonts, sizing and positioning. Login and interface header text can also be managed by the VOSS-4-UC theme feature. The chosen look and feel can also be applied to the Login page.

Themes can be managed:

  • In the Admin Portal (including legacy): using the Themes menu (default path: Role Management > Themes).
  • In the Business Admin Portal: using the Themes menu (default path: Tools > Themes). Themes managed here follow the same method as on the Admin Portal and is not file-based.

Important

Theme management from the Legacy Admin Portal differs from the Admin Portal. Refer to the topics on file-based themes for details on Legacy Admin Portal theme management.

  • There are two ways to set up a theme in the system:
    • File based - only applicable for the Legacy Admin Portal and takes precedence if it exists.
    • Branding, in other words the customisation theme colour choice options - applicble to the Admin Portal, Business Admin Portal. If no file-based theme is a part of the theme, then this applies to all interfaces: Legacy Admin Portal, Admin Portal, Business Admin Portal.

New themes can be added and existing themes can be edited. These are associated with a user’s role. There is no limit to the number of themes that can be added and applied. It is a common practice to have a theme associated with a specific customer (company).

The default theme that applies to the Admin Portal when the system is initially built, is available on the VOSS-4-UC system and can be used as the baseline template.
