Speech Complete Timeout | Specifies the required length of silence (in milliseconds) following user speech before the recognizer finalizes a result (either accepting it or throwing a nomatch event). The SpeechCompleteTimeout property is used when the speech prior to the silence matches an active grammar. A long SpeechCompleteTimeout value delays the result completion and therefore makes the system's response slow. A short SpeechCompleteTimeout value may lead to the inappropriate break up of an utterance. Reasonable SpeechCompleteTimeout values are typically in the range of 0.3 seconds to 1.0 second. Speech Incomplete Timeout | Specifies the required length of silence (in milliseconds) from when the speech prior to the silence matches an active grammar, but where it is possible to speak further and still match the grammar. By contrast, the SpeechCompleteTimeout property is used when the speech prior to the silence matches an active grammar and no further words can be spoken. A long SpeechIncompleteTimeout value delays the result completion and therefore makes the system's response slow. A short SpeechIncompleteTimeout value may lead to the inappropriate break up of an utterance. The SpeechIncompleteTimeout value is usually longer than the completetimeout value to allow users to pause mid-utterance (for example, to breathe). Note that values set for the completetimeout property are only supported if they are less than the incompletetimeout property.
