Configure Your Own Password Reset Questions

This procedure configures your password reset questions.


**Prerequisites**:

* Your role must have a credential policy with a value greater than zero defined for **Number of Questions 
  Asked During Password Reset**.  
  
  To view or edit the number of password reset questions of the credential policy for the role: 
  
  1. Go to (default menu) **Role Management > Credential Policy**. 
  2. Click the role to edit settings. 
  3. In **Number of Questions Asked During Password Reset**, enter a value for the number of questions. 
  4. In **Password Reset Question Pool** click the Plus icon (+) to add a password reset question, and 
     define a question to use. Repeat this step for each question you want to add. 
  5. Save your changes. You will need to log out and log in to view changes. 



**To configure password reset questions for your account**:

1. Log in to VOSS-4-UC.

2. Configure answers for the password reset questions for your role:  

   * If you're working in the legacy Admin GUI: 
   
     * Click the down-arrow at your profile name (top right of the page); then, select 
       **Password Reset Questions**. 

     * Enter your current password. 
     * Enter responses for each password reset question set up for your profile. 
     * Click **Update Security Questions**. 

   * If you're working in the Admin Portal: 
   
     * Click the gear icon (top right of the screen); then, click on your profile name to open 
       the **Account** page.  

     * In the **Password Management** card, enter your current password. 
     * At **Security Questions**, click the down-arrow to edit a security question.  

       .. note:: 

          The field title reads *No value set* if a password reset question has not been selected yet. If 
          a question has been selected, the field title is the question text. 

     * Choose a question, and provide an answer.  
     * Click **Update Security Questions**.
