Manage Greeting Files

This option allows you to independently upload previously created greeting (.wav) files, which can be used when adding or updating call handlers at a hierarchy level.

1. Click Auto Attendant > Manage Greeting Files.
2. Click Add.
3. Click Browse to select the required greeting file from the directory in which it was saved.
4. Enter an optional description to uniquely identify the greeting file.
5. Click Save.

Uploaded greeting files are available to use on the Record/Playback and Upload Greeting tabs when you modify a call handler, see Modify an Auto Attendant Call Handler Service.

Music on Hold (MOH) File Management

The VOSS-4-UC MOH File Management feature allows administrators to carry out a number of tasks within the GUI to manage MOH servers and files, including the upload of MOH files to Unified CM.

MOH file management in VOSS-4-UC consists of a number of steps:

• Upload the MOH .wav file to VOSS-4-UC.
• Manage MOH servers.
• Upload one or more MOH files to one or more MOH servers.
• Set an uploaded file as a MOH audio source for use in line and hunt group management in VOSS-4-UC.

MOH Servers

From the Manage MOH Servers menu, Unified CM instances that are the MOH servers can be managed.

MOH Server details:

• Name: can add a custom name, while drop-down shows available list of Unified CM instances at the customer hierarchy, as the CUCM Server Name of the instance shown in the CUCM > Servers list.
• Host: host name or IP address - defaults to Unified CM host name or IP address if Name is selected from the drop-down list.
• Username: username who has access to the Unified CM GUI.
• Password: user password who has access to the Unified CM GUI.

MOH File Upload to VOSS-4-UC

Upload the MOH .wav file.

Use the Manage MOH Files menu to upload to VOSS-4-UC and to manage these uploaded files.

• Description: can add a custom description for the file, which also shows in the list view.

MOH File Upload to MOH Servers

Upload one or more MOH files to one or more MOH servers.

From Upload Single MOH File, a single selected .wav file that was uploaded can be uploaded to a selected MOH server. Click Save to upload.

From Upload Multiple MOH Files, more than one uploaded .wav file can be uploaded to more than one MOH server by their respective selection on side-by-side transfer boxes.

To remove MOH files from MOH Servers, carry out this task on the MOH Server.

MOH Audio Sources

In order to make use of the MOH files that have been uploaded to MOH servers, a MOH Audio Source instance needs to be created:

To add a MOH Audio Source:

Choose the Add MOH Audio Source menu:

• CUCM GUI Connection: the selected MOH server

• MOH Audio Source Name: a descriptive name available to be selected when the source is used.

• MOH Audio Stream Number: select a stream number.

  Note that:

  • stream numbers in use will not show
  • 001 is usually reserved for use by the sample source and is not shown
  • 051 is reserved for a fixed MOH audio source and is not shown

• MOH Audio Source File: the selected file uploaded to the MOH server (CUCM GUI Connection).

To manage MOH Audio Sources:

Additional details for a selected audio source can be managed. Choose the Manage MOH Audio Source menu:

• Source ID: stream number
• Name: read-only

Announcement Settings for Held and Hunt Pilot calls are available for management:

• Initial Announcement
• Periodic Announcement
• Periodic Announcement interval
• Locale Announcement

The added MOH Audio Sources are available to:

• Manage for Lines as MOH Audio Source as a part of Subscriber Management - see Directory Number Advanced Information at Configure Lines.
• Manage for Hunt Groups as Queueing MOH Audio Source as a part of Subscriber Management - see Add a Hunt Group.
